I was lead by Tushar/Krishnan/Jerry/Ashok/Sultan..the two pajero’s including mine got stuck many times..but learnt a lot from it..sply my car got stuck in a declined dune with almost 1 tyre on air…Thanks to Sultan for recovery.
Got to know d operation of the rope with the shackle tension limit when recovering it.
It feels like I have experienced a step ahead den d previous drive…
    Thank you all..

My first drive with DO (as not a passenger). The newbee convoy was well led by Tushar with Jerry at sweep and the experience of Sultan, Saif, Krishnan, Ashok, Chris, Firoz in between. During the drive, Tushar explained the process of recovery to us newbees, when and how to use the different ropes and straps and from which side recovery needs to be done. For me the first half of the drive was smooth though I had to take couple of second attempts. Later when I jumped over a dune (and got a crack in the front bumper in the process), I started slowing down at the top to prevent another jump which led to two cresting instances, one of them being the tallest of all surrounding dunes nearby #:-s . It was a great learning experience with a lot of positives as I did more than what I thought was possible in my first drive ๐Ÿ™‚ . :thanks: Firoz for your tips and advice on the FJ Cruiser.

Thanks to everyone, specially Tushar for the great lead and Jerry for the great sweep (and for all the wonderful previous drives I had been with you) :ymapplause: . Look forward to more newbee drives.

    My first proper lead!

Was a little bit nerve wracking but i think i went ok! No big incidents – a few people getting stuck on ridges, other than that it went well.

I did however smash my bumper on a small pocket – the perils of leading i guess! Someone mentioned something about knowing somebody who does repairs???? If anyone knows where i can get them done please drop me a line – i’m not getting a new one this time, it’ll only happen again!

    Good afternoon all .
we all meet at nazwa meeting point. all was there on time , execpt the ppl who did not show up.
we did realy breif briefing, this time ,
we split the in to 2 convoy ,
1st convoy had the begginers and led by tushar and his team Sultan, jery, ashok and krenan,
the 2nd convoy was under the management of sattu and my self.
since we did not have any 1st timer with us , just bebies, i wanted to do a training for our intermediate and advance drivers,
so Andy did the lead, rob, was the 2nd lead, and sameer was sweeping with Marshal Sattu and my self side flying as eagl eyes.
the trip went well and i think all enjoyed.
in shallah next time we will do more of this kind of training.
    thank u all

Thankyou all for a good drive. Didnt get stuck all the way till were returning when I had a pop out! ๐Ÿ™ Sorry about that.. But I guess that just completed our trainig drive ๐Ÿ˜‰ Alhamdulillah
:thanks: Tushar ji for letting me recover during the crest recovery training
:thanks: Krishnan ji, Saif for all your support
:thanks: all others who helped to fix my wheel
And last but not the least, big :thanks: to AbuRyhan (Firoz) for letting me drive :ymhug:
It’s funny how everyone calls out “Firoz” whenever thay refer to the green FJ ๐Ÿ˜• On 19th October, 2nd November and 9th November, it was me (UmmRyhan) ๐Ÿ˜€ behind the wheel :yesss: But for any silly thing #:-s I do on newbie drives, his name is called out instead and he goes ๐Ÿ˜ฎ :-\
I would really appreciate it if I was called by my own name, and fear I may not be allowed to drive many more times :-s if I continue to defame the Green FJ’s first driver, “Captain Firoz” :ymapplause: It’shard enough for him not to be driving X( when I take over the wheel #-o and I know he misses his drives =(( whenever I do mine :ymsigh: I really appreciate it dear ๐Ÿ˜ก :thanks:

I missed this drive…. ๐Ÿ™ but very happy to know the newbees had good learning and great fun :-BD ๐Ÿ™‚ Great job by the DO Team :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Congratulations Andy for the successful maiden lead :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: still a long way ahead buddy :-BD

Sofia, Green FJ is well established among us as Captain Firoz, so it may not be that easy to change it quickly. I have a solution for you – print few big stickers “Sofia Onboard” (like Child Onboard stickers ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) and stick it whenever you are behind the wheels :-BD I may also go for a similar one for my car… ๐Ÿ˜€
