Brief stop at Bidbid. Camp outside Muscat. **Day 2:** Muscat → Nizwa → Salalah highway. Hajar mountains section. **Day 3:** Salalah arrival. The green mountains during Khareef are absolutely surreal — nothing like the UAE. **Day 4:** Wadi Dawkah — frankincense trees and incredible rocky terrain. Best driving of the trip. **Day 5:** Return via coastal road, stopping at Mirbat. Highlights: The Dhofar region completely transforms during monsoon season. Highly recommend for any serious off-roader. Water crossings were challenging but manageable with experienced marshals leading. Will post photos when I get a chance to sort through 2,000+ shots! 📸

My 2001 Prado with the 5VZ-FE 3.4L V6 feels very flat below 2,500 RPM in the sand.
