"Member of the week" is back on DO!

I am glad to announce the return of “Member of the week”.
For those who are unfamiliar with the idea,
quote :Each member coming on the trip of a particular week will be observed very carefully by the marshals on that trip and after discussion with all the marshals, they will recommend a member who will be given the status of member of the week. And his/her picture and name will be put on the website! Since we have drives every week normally, hence, the member of the week.A member will be graded on the following grounds:
1. His/her activity in the club and the regularity on the trips.
2. His/her behavior on the trips. (Obedience of the rules laid down by the club and to the word of the marshals on the trip.)
3. His/her driving ability. (Improvements in driving).
4. His/her navigation skills.
5. His/her attitude towards other members.
6. His/her contribution to the club.

just a thought.
Maybe there should also be a “Marshall of the Month”. They all work extremely hard in organising these trips and ensuring everyone is safe while having fun.Maybe a voting system can be provided in each Trip Post where members can vote or rate the Marshall and the drive after each trip. The Marshall with the highest avg score get’s the “marshall of the month”. I just think they need just as much recognition as other DO members 🙂 …

Hey Afro, thanks for the idea and the thought behind it. Really appreciate it. However, we did discuss this internally and tossed away the idea in seconds as watching members progress, get upgraded and become better off-roaders is rewarding enough. It’s very simple actually, try and give back to the community what you got from it 🙂 .

Let me take this opportunity to thank all the marshals and DO members to allow me to learn the basics from nothing, to develop and give me the confidence to do what we all enjoy. :ymhug:Thanks again DO 😉
