b) Carry compressor with you and ensure its in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with full fuel tank.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary offroad gears / recovery equipment in good condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).Please read the following and register for the drive:-

Will there be a 10 min prayer break to pray Asr prayers? This will be my first trip with DO.

Thanks a lot!!! Since this will be my first afternoon trip I wanted to know what time do you guys leave from Dubai for the meeting point? After friday prayers or you pray on the way? Also, is it safe to get children? I have done 4 drives before but with different group. Sorry for asking too many questions..

all genuine questions and would be useful to other members as well who are trying to plan Juma’a prayers.
I would recommend praying on the way as departing at 1:00-1:15 after completion of prayers would be cutting it pretty fine since meeting point is 60-75 minutes from Dubai depending on where you live.
There are 2 mosques i usually visit, one opposite outlet mall and another one on the same side a few KMS ahead.
You are welcome to bring children above 5 years old for a newbie drive, would recommend having another adult in the car to take care of them as i’m sure you’ll be pretty occupied with the driving itself.

All the details of the trip are mentioned above and now below as well.
We will have various convoys for various levels of drivers including newbies (newbie convoys are great for family and children). In regards to prayers, most of us pray on the way as there are many mosques on Al Ain highway. If you would like to pray Asr also, we usually have 5 to 10 min breaks during the drive, you can utilize this time to pray (please carry you own prayer mat).
If this is your first drive with DO, please make sure you have a radio and a flag.
