Watch Out for Road works Radars

    Just a note for everyone.
    Watch out for the road works going on in Shk Zayed Road. RTA has reduced the road speed there from 120km back to 100km. I was driving on cruise at 135 km at dubai marina and got fined 2 radars even though the original speed is upto 140 km.

    BTW, R u talking about a certain portion or whole Sh Zayed Road from 1st interchange to jebel Ali ?

    basically on shk zayed road after interchange 2 or after Metropolitan Hotel, the speed limit changes from 120 to 140. But on the 140 km stretch, wherever work is going on for Metro or other road works they are reducing the speed limit and also setting the radars accordingly.

    It seems this reduction in speed limit is being applied across SZR (possibly elsewhere too), wherever there are roadworks going on (eg. Shahama too).

    Defence Roundabout to Marina 100kph (+20kph margin for overtaking)
    Marina to Abu Dhabi ADNOC 120kph (+20kph margin for overtaking)
    Abu Dhabi ADNOC to Shahama 120kph (+40kph margin for overtaking)
    Shahama to Maqta Birdge 100kph (+20kph margin for overtaking)
