AnonymousDecember 20, 2015 at 11:27 am #34471Hello fellow members, are you aware that this is not a round trip? For all UAE expats, there is only one way in and out to Wadi Bih (or Jabal as Sayh; as Joe has shown, from Khasab) as the border post in Wadi Bih is not crossable only for UAE and Oman nationals. You need to turn back from the border post and take the exact same route out than in.
The trip otherwise is fabulous, I did it already twice with a Ford Explorer but have seen Toyota Corollas on the way as well (crazy locals :)) :)) ). 4×4 drive is recommended in some areas especially coming down from the mountains on that curvy road.
The road is not paved but cleared and flattened (gravel road) and it is very dusty which can be a problem while driving in a convoy.Depending on the timing of this trip I might try my luck the 3rd time… ๐
quote Rizwan:Guys did you make it to Wadi Beh? if you have can you please share the route?Looking forward to go to Wadi beh this weekend.
Thanks All
We Did a very nice route from Khassab all the way to Rawdah passing by Sih Plateah and Mountain. I think for Bih, you need to go from the other side (Dibba). You need to arrange with a hotel or someone to give you a permit as there are no Omani checkpoints to stamp in from and the UAE checkpoint requires it.
