    Day and date: Friday,12th May 2017
    Drive Type: Newbie, Fewbie, Multiple convoys depending on registrations and Marshals’ Availability
    Meeting Point: Al Murquab Mosque on E-66
    Google Map Users, (just copy and paste 24.820588, 55.575948)
    Meeting Time: 2:30 pm
    Drive Start: 2:45 pm
    Drive End: 6:30 pm
    Duration: 3.5 – 4.0 hours
    Drive Route: Murquab to Al Qudra Lakes
    Drive Terrain: small/medium technical dunes
    Finish Point: Al Qudra Lakes (24.837642, 55.374541)

    Checklist:
    a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
    b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition. (nearest petrol station is 30+ KMS )
    c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    d) Compatible Radio & Flag Pole is a must.
    e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
    f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

    Hi Everyone! This is gonna be my first time, this is exciting!
    I’m a pure newbie, got my first 4*4 3 months ago, looking to learn offroad driving!

    Will there anyone early over there to explain how the group works?

    Hey Jerome,

    The Marshals would be covering all the necessary details during a briefing (which is always mandatory before the start of all our trips.)

    Please make sure you have the basic requirements for the trip mentioned in the post and that you’re on time for the briefing.

    Looking forward to seeing you in the sand this weekend

    I am a Newbie and would love to join your drive but have not yet sourced a radio. Hoping to get one tomorrow from Dragon Mart…
    Is it possible to borrow a radio (just once!) – if so I’d love to sign up and join in!

    Dragon mart is open till late tonight, in case you are not able to get one….please come and look for me during our pre-drive briefing and i’ll loan you my spare.

    Make sure it’s UHF!

    Check the club FAQ for help or message me in whatsapp if you get stuck. Ask for a Motorola MT-777, it’s around 200 and one of the best ones going

    Awesome, thanks a lot! I’ve got all the necessary equipment (bought the radio yesterday!), the only thing I’m missing is a compressor to inflate the tires afterwards, but I assume somebody will be able to help me out 🙂
