276C has been discontinued & though it is still available the price is approx.3K…which is atrocious!!! 8-| 8-| 8-|

The irony is that Garmin is too focused on Nuvi models, which are essentially street models…
to focus on us off roaders!!! :-w :-w :-w

    so Status Quo??? ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜• ๐Ÿ˜•

Suri was suggesting another model with bigger n touch screen with similar features for 3800. If 276 is 3000 then one might as well go for the newer technology.

Can anyone suggest any cost effective models…..probably between AED 1000 – 1500? It would be great if we can record tracks too

Naved Bhai seems to be very appreciative of a model he bought from Dragon Mart…..

Look forward to your suggestions….as i need to get hold of one soon.

The one I bought is for Dhs 550… does what it’s supposed to… you can save POIs, record tracks, save Favourites, find co-ordinates etc…

The only drawback is that you cannot import/export routes… which only Marshals need to do… for novices like moi, its good enough…

Plus it comes pre-loaded with 3 maps… iGo 2008, Route 66 and one more…(forgot the name)… so you don’t spend on expensibe maps (as in Garmin)

Better than spending Dhs 1500-3000 on device and maps…

My 2 cents… Hope that helps you make an informed decision ๐Ÿ˜‰

See ya soon on one of the drives… and better bring some of that yummy cake too… !!

    That’s right Stanly 620c purports to be a replacement for 276c…but actually it is’nt… ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™

    I did a test run on this…
For our applications we have to use this in the marine mode & in this mode the maps are disabled :-\ :-\ :-\
