Day and date: Sunday 23 April
Drive Type: fewbie and inter only, Initially max 8 cars, more may come dependent on Marshal and advanced support
Meeting Point: Will be sent by PM saturday evening to the first 8 registrations. Allow 45mins from Dubai.
Meeting Time: 06:15 am
Drive Start: 06:30 am
Drive End: 10:00 am
Duration: 3.5 hours
Drive Terrain: SandChecklist:
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

Drive will start at 6:30 as U2 sung “with or without u”, no one wants to get up at 5:15 to wait around 30mins for late comers.
I really enjoyed my first official lead today. Everyone drove extremely well and supported each other. Thanks to Sahil and Francis for your support at sweep, you gave me some well needed confidence that I had sufficient back up although no recoveries were needed. I was impressed with Vish who had second lead who showed how he has developed as a driver making Iftar bowl look easy (hope your wifes feeling better now shes back on tarmac #:-s). It was a prompt start at 6:30 at Sony Ericsson as we made our way to Badayer. We managed to hit all the big dunes on route and covered some technical areas where we were travelling against the “grain” of the dunes. We were out at 10 am so made good progress. Sorry Leo that you couldn’t make it due to car troubles. Hope to drive again with you all soon. :drive: 😀
