    REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS DRIVE – APOLOGIES TO THOSE THAT DID NOT MAKE IT – UNTIL NEXT TIME……….

    Day and date: Friday 21st March 2014
    Drive Type: Fewbie + to intermediate
    Meeting Point: Badayer Shops
    GPS Users: N24 57.303 E55 42.785
    Google Maps: 24.954974,55.714198
    Meeting Time: 8.00am
    Drive Start: 8.15am sharp
    Drive Route &Terrain: High Dunes, Side Sloping, Steep Drops, Ridge Riding, Cresting
    Duration: 4 hours minimum

    This drive is open to anyone with a minimum of 5 drives under their belt and is limited to 8 cars. First come first serve basis, anyone with less than 5 drives please excuse!

    This will enable the convoy to cover as much ground as possible between Badayer and beyond taking in every big dune we see along the way.

    We will meet at Badayer shops and then head out into the sands. End destination will be determined by Marshall and abilities of the convoy as a whole.

    PLEASE NOTE: you will need an air compressor as we shall be finishing just before prayer time and as everything in the area shuts down you will have a long wait to reopen.

    Checklist:-

    a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
    b) Carry compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
    c) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    d) Compatible Radio is a must.
    e) Carry all necessary off-road gears / recovery equipment in good condition.
    f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

    wow, that’s an amazing overnight registration scramble, thanks guys.

    We have all good drivers and plenty of support. Should make for a fun drive.

    Looks like we have great weather for our Friday morning drive. 25 degrees and light winds until lunch time.

    If there is anyone who can’t make it, please let me know so that I can offer out any vacant space to wanting members.
