    Newbie + Fewbee – Friday Afternoon Drive on 18/01/2013 :drive:

    Day and date : Friday, 18th January 2013
    Drive Type : Open to all
    Meeting Point : Tawi Nazwa Shops (Map:- http://www.dubaioffroadlive.local/forums/tawishops.php)
    Meeting Time : 1:50 pm
    Drive Start: 2.00 pm
    Drive Terrain: Dunes and Tracks
    Duration: 2.00 pm till sunset

    Checklist:-
    a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    b) Compatible Radio.
    c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
    d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

    Convoy allotment will be made by Thursday (17/01/2013), subject to the skill level of registered participants and availability of senior members and marshals. Most welcome for Senior Members and Marshals.

    Hi,

    I’ve registered for this drive (my first one), however I’m working Friday night, starting at 22.00. Will I have time to get home and get ready for work?
    Also, I dont have a radio yet, will that be ok?

    Mitch, Welcome to Dubai Offroaders!!!
    We expect to finish this drive between 5pm and 5.30pm, before it gets dark. Hope it will be OK with you to get ready for work.
    Radio is not a mandatory requirement for first timers 🙂 However its deal to have a radio, to stay connected with the Marshals who can support and guide you easily :-BD

    Many have told to drive with you to learn something on desert… 😀
    i have registered for morning’s drive posted by Mr.Thanseer, then rush back home for prayer..
    Just thinking that it will be a tight schedule for me to turn back…confused :-s

    Any suggestion Mr.Kumar? *-:) :-??

    Hi Razik

    I just picked up a radio last week from the shop as suggested by DO. The shop lady still has the list of frequencies used by DO and will set it up for you. Just carry a copy with you in case required. Pls don’t forget to buy a car charger for AED 20 as well for the unit as it will come in handy.

    Sir – info was reconfirmed again last week on the same post for someone if I remember correctly. Anyways, that info is still valid.
