    You need to consult Kumar for this. He will narrow it down for you in a jiffy. The hottest one right now is the Montana 650.

    Thank you for the heads up, will catch up with Tiger on this as i did a compairison between the Montana 650 and the eTREX 20 on the garmin site

    and the only thing that stood out was an increase in the screen size, resolution and number of waypoints from 2000 on the eTREX to 4000 on the Montana, rest of it all seem to check out. This for 60% less than Montana got me stumped and thought will check with the experts before i get too excited 😀 😀 😀

    I have the Etrex 20… with the UAE – Oman offroading maps. Pretty easy to use, and as of date, – so far, so good.

    Ian, I bought Icom V87 in Dragon mart after reading Kumar’s message. Two costs AED340. It is easy to use.

    Good to know you are happy with the unit, where did you pick yours from, Amit’s ??? And do they have the extras such as the car charger and mount

    Hi Friends,

    Few weeks back I bought Kenwood TK-UV3 Dual band radio from Dragon mart ( shop name some thing Sunshine China?- I am not sure ) for AED 375 with car charger, headphone included. It appear to be very good and easy to use with some other very useful features (which you may not use here in UAE/GCC). You may also try this one.

    Because you were behind souq & later turned to AMIT, and there in amit if you use the correct negotiation skills you can get Montana 600 for AED 1560.. B-) . But i’m happy with my MotionX and its really beats others for $ 2.99…
