Manufacturer’s Warranty is provided by default by AMIT since they are the sole authorized service center for Garmin.
AMIT will check & rectify the problem on all products that are under Garmin Warranty, irrespective of where the unit was bought from.quote Asem Ahmed:Agreed if device has problems after certain time, but this unit is defective out of the box. You agreed to replace the unit upon confirmation from Amit that unit is not functioning. I called you back from service center with no reply from you.The repair or replacement will be done by AMIT depending on whether they find the unit to be defective. As per the commercial law of UAE the applicable warranty is the manufacturer’s warranty and the reseller is neither responsible nor authorized for any warranty issues. These have to be directly sorted out between the consumer and the manufacturer/ manufacturer’s authorized service center. This is the reason you were guided to approach AMIT directly.
Any warranty related issues or queries should thus be directed to the service center only.so, you wont keep up your own words. anyways, let me put the correct offer
Garmin Montana 650 + City Navigator Middle East & North Africa 2013 (Preloaded) + Garmin Auto Suction Mount with built in speaker & car charger @ AED2,198.00
Aseem,
I was reading through the above thread/discussion and unable to understand the problem. Also you meant problem with the unit.
Is the unit damaged out of box?
Are you able to see the green signal on you right which indicates the signal strength of the GPS?
Is the preloaded maps working or no?..If required myself and will request other senior members to come with you to AMIT for rectifying this issue.
Could you pls clarify us a bit more on this issue rather than general statement that problem with unit.

Hello Asem,
To understand your problem we need to see the unit and help you ascertain whether it’s a case of resetting the unit or whether the unit GPS decoder is at fault. There are several functionalities/settings that you can check like the map datum (from main screen go to the chevron at the base of the page, this accesses the main menu functions, go to set-up, then position format, then map datum, use WGS 84) which may affect the way the device sees or interprets the signal coming from the satellites. You can also check what the signal strength of the satellites the devices sees.(from main screen go to chevron at base then go to Satellite, it’s generally the last icon. Opening this will display a graphic of all the satellites the device can see, on the base of this page are several horizontal lines press here and go to auto locate) You need to be outside clear of tall concrete buildings before locating your position,
Hope this helpsAMIT have a technician available at their workshop, upstairs at the shop on the Creek
