Planned downtime of website on 13th July 2012

Website will be down on the 13th of July for a couple of hours. The functionalities and the features of the website will be maintained in this time. The database tables will be optimized and repaired because there have been some reported bugs which even I was unaware of.

Planned things once the maintenance is complete:

A better functioning gallery, with lesser or hopefully no bugs.

Better classifieds. I am thinking of getting rid of the Business forum and giving the members a better experience with the ads. I have coded the modification, need to implement it. So, if everything works out fine, you will have Dubai Offroaders Classifieds. 🙂

Faster website, cleaning and maintenance of the server has been long overdue. Also will do some tuneups to make the website faster, not that it’s slow, but why not.

Will be getting rid of a lot of unnecessary modifications such as the blog modification and the search engine optimization modification. Our links are very nicely modified for search engines such as Gooogle and Yahoo! because of some backend coding and we do not need the topic description or SEO title in the posting page anymore. They just put more load on the database.

A better looking sidebar. Gonna work on the sidebar and make it look prettier.

If there are any bugs that you have encountered, please be kind enough to post here. I have been very busy studying and have not spent a lot of time on the website, so I am not aware of all the bugs on the site.
