Exploration Drive 24th Aug – West of Al Faqa

We will be exploring an area west of al faqa with no particular itinarary, tapping different zones to discover the type and the potential of the terrain overthere. The drive is expected to be fast and technical.
Day and date : Friday, 24/8/12
Meeting Time : 2:00 pm
Meeting Point : Coordinates will be sent by SMS (please ensure your profile is updated with your mobile number)
Drive Start: 2.15 pm
Drive Finish: 6:00 pm
Area: West of Al Faqa
Open to a maximum of 8 cars
Carry enough stock of drinking water / rehydration drinks. Please ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition
Participants please refer to the list of equipments that one needs to carry for offroading and ensure the availability of all offroad gears in good condition for the drive.

Sure Kumar, This season we’ll do alot of those…
As Ahmed has stated in a different post …. We will make sure we get to experience different terrains, different areas and different types of drives, in order to improve our skills and knowledge.
We’ll have alot of fun 🙂

Actually we have already done the area you are referring to, and we will redo it inchallah in the near future… However this area is next to Alfaqa from the west side. I will be posting a snapshot of the area for clarity …

There are already 8 cars registered in the convoy. Are you going to confirm all registered ones will join? I ask this because you said “The drive is expected to be fast and technical.” Are will all capable of participating in this drive or should any of us “unregister” ?
would love to join but my jeep is in hospital and it will not get back to normal so soon. Inshallah will join next week.
I am so looking forward to Al Faqa -in my view the most beautiful area nearby.

Guys, something is wrong here. The opening was for maximum 8 cars and there are already 10. There must be a good reason to limit the number of cars.
Hamza…..looks like your intervention is needed here. People shouldn’t be able to register once the convoy is full.

I am sorry for this inconvenience, but we will only maintain 8 drivers (excluding marshals) only the drivers who have been confirmed in the Convoy list will then be contacted as they are the first to register… We’ll have a waiting list, and any other driver will be contacted if a slot get empty.
