Day and date : Friday the 5th of October 2012.
Drive Route: Starting in Al Lisailly all the way to Al’Ain via Al Naqrah, The Sand Mountain.Meeting Time : 1415 Hrs. (02:15 pm)
Meeting Point : N24 51.547 E55 21.634 (If you cannot reach here on your own…then this drive is obviously not for you).
Drive Start: 1430Hrs. (02:30 pm).
Drive Finish: 1800 Hrs. (6.00 pm)
Drive Finish Point : N24 13.993 E55 40.778Please carry enough stock of drinking water / fluids / re hydration drinks as well as food for self and passengers.
Please ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in servicable condition and with sufficient fuel for the Drive.
Please make sure you are carrying the spare tyre and that the tow points both fore and aft are accessible.Participants please refer to the List of Equipments that one needs to carry for offroading and ensure the availability of all offroad gear in good condition for the drive. equipments that one needs to carry for offroading

All interested members are required to register for the drive before Thursday, 4pm. This is an intermediate Drive restricted to members with a minimum of 2 Star rating Only.
The Drive will be restricted to a maximum of 10 Cars and priority will strictly be on a first come first serve basis.
Please strictly abide to the convoy rules and keep the marshal’s contact number. You may contact your convoy staff for support and further details.
Marshals are requested to check the equipment of all members of their respective convoy. (marshals – kindly confirm your participation)
Those are my favorite areas. So I register for the drive without any time lost.

I have to miss this one. And the next one… I’m in Barcelona for a week so I’ll be missing the next 2 weekends 🙁

Hi Sam, I have not registered for this drive!
Just a suggestion for this trip. Since already has 12 registered and plenty of Marshals, can we have 2 convoys? Both doing the same route, but each convoy takes care of their team. If I get stuck, the other convoy doesn’t need to wait for us….. :drive:
The idea here is for one marshal to lead, and that is going to be my dad. I think he would like to test his FJ, his marshals, his majors and his captains all at the same time. 😉
So I do not think that is what he wants Rob 🙂
As you might have noticed, the total distance to be covered is 80Kms. + in about 4 hours.
This will thus be fast paced drive with intermediate to extreme level of difficulty depending on how well the participants cope with the terrain and that is the reason for the restriction on numbers.
The only issue is that…if all the Marshals are on the Intermediate Drive…who is going to help Ali out with his Newbies?
