Question regarding Xterra lifting/leveling kits

    Hello Gents,

I have a Nissan Xterra 2010 Offroad edition and I am interesting in a minor lift in order to install bigger tires and I have a few questions to ask:

    – Have anyone tried Pro Comp Leveling Kit? Is it safe? will it effect my on-street performance?
    – What Size tires can I install without effecting the vehicle’s performance?
    – I checked at Ramy 4X4 and they told me lifting the car 1.5-2″ will cost me around 7K which is way over my budget for a lift, any other shops that can provide me with something cheaper but durable, without having to modify or trip parts of my car.
    – Will I lose my Nissan warranty if i lift my car?

The Xterra is one hell of an offroader, but I feel it needs a bit more since it has a long wheel base and it doesn’t perform as I want it to in on the dunes.

    Cheers!

A comment from a none expert. Do nothing now. If you love the sands, you will have plenty of opportunities to spend money. XTerra is a great car and off road version should be enough for what we do. One of our top Marshal’s drive a 2 door Pajero! It is not all about the car. :drive:

    Dear Mr. Zaid,

Better you visit DOLLAR AUTO WORKS at Ras Al Khor near Dubai used car complex and consult with them.

I prefer if you are going for a lift use ‘IRONMAN’ suspension kit which will definitely give you the expected result.

Two weeks back i installed this kit fro my Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Thank you all for the response. I am talking about the Pro Comp Leveling Kit not the tires, I got in touch with OffroadZone and they told me it costs around AED2,500, but I’ve been looking everywhere online and couldn’t find any reviews, I don’t wanna start modifying my car without being 100% sure it will not ruin it for me.

What are the best tires I can install on my Xterra (both with or without lifting it)?

Zaid, Initially don’t do any modification. First thing, you start driving in the desert. Once you get in progress on your desert driving skills, naturally you will come to know what are the modification you want to do or not. After all it’s your skill, not your modified machine…. :drive:

Thanks for the response. I’ve been offroading for around 15 years and I never modified any of my cars, this time I feel like some change, the xterra is performing well, but the long wheel bases getting to me, I think it needs a tiny lift and bigger tires, what do you think?

    Guys,

There is a guy on Dubizzle selling a PRG lift kit, link below, I read a few good reviews about it since it consists of spacers for the fron and AAL for the back. Anyone knows anything about PRGs? Any recommendations? and what tires are the best with this kit?
