    Newbie + Intermediate – Friday Afternoon Drive :drive:

    Day and date : Friday, 16th November 2012
    Drive Type : Open to all
    Meeting Point : ADNOC – Al Faqqa (http://goo.gl/maps/GuRCq)
    Meeting Time : 1:30 pm
    Drive Start: 2.00 pm
    Drive Terrain: Tricky soft dunes of Al Faqqa
    Duration: 2.00 pm till sunset

    Note:- Participants shall reach the meeting point early for Friday prayer – there is a mosque at the meeting point.

    Checklist:-
    a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    b) Compatible Radio.
    c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
    d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).

    I would be missing off-roading for two week ends due to personal commitments…SORRYYYYY 🙁
    Dear D.O’s,
    A request if a drive is scheduled on Friday’s, can it be scheduled on 14:30hrs..as go to Friday prayers to certain masjid’s with family.
    After that it will be comfortable to reach on time. Just a request, rest the management can decide.

    sunset is around 17:30 so meeting at 14:00 gives us a little more driving time.

    Correction Chris – drive has to start at 14:00 to spend atleast 3.5 hours in sand before sunset.
    Otherwise its not worth to drive all the way to Al Faqqa.. 😀 What say?

    Actually I would prefer the early morning drives… this way we get to make it to Friday prayers and spend the rest of the day with the Family also…
    Will try to make it to the afternoon drive this friday, but not sure if I can take time away from the kids this week…

    Agree with the idea Sattu :-BD. Can we have here your proposal, for changing the announced drive, in agreement with everybody!
    All are welcome to propose good plans for a family outing…… 🙂

    If its morning, I am IN.. My parents are leaving to India on Friday evening so cannot make if its an affternoon drive. I am IN if its a morning drive :drive:
    Kumar bhai, Please confirm if there are plans to change the timing.
