Let’s have a Drive in the Northern Emirates this time. for a change.
The Falaj Al Moalla is an area with some nice, soft and surprisingly tricky dunes that calls for some really technical driving.
There is a certain area driving from Falaj Al Moalla towards north that has a forest of Ghaf trees right in the middle of Red Sand Dunes…offering some nice picnic/ BBQ options.
The offroaders refer to it as Victoria’s Forest, basically a cluster of Ghaf trees with green grass and small shrubs with multicoloured flowers…it is a shockingly beautiful sight…right in the middle of desert!!!
So let’s go and give Victoria a visit!!!Day and date : Friday 8th of Nov. ‘2013
Drive Type : Newbee + Fewbee
Meeting Point : To the right of Interchange No. 10 on Sharjah Dhaid Road, as you go towards Dhaid.
Meeting Point Cordinates : Lat/Lon hddd.mm.mmm = N25 16.623 E55 44.272
Meeting Time : 1445 Hrs.
Drive Start: 1500 Hrs. sharp
Drive ends at Sunset.
Drive Terrain: Nice views with some soft & really tricky dunes.Checklist:-
a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
b) Compatible Radio is a must.
c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).Please read the following and register for the drive:-

There have been some rains in that area in the last week too which gives rise to an almost park like vista to the area in the aforementioned Ghaf forest area.
This will make the drive even more interesting.

I would love to do this..but can only confirm tomorrow due to some commitments …but waiting fingers crossed…I can say I am mostly game for this..
I have to go back to Denmark this weekend, but I’ll definitely be there next Friday.
Sorry guys, I can’t make Friday as I have a friend’s birthday BBQ.
Might be out next Friday too as of some vehicle repairs, will see how quickly the garage can get it done.
