!4th Feb, Trip to Ghost town, Inter-Fewbie

The 14th is Valentines day, so for us to express our love of the sands a trip to Ghost Town :ymdevil:

A drive with Dunes of all shapes and sizes and tricky soft sand in the second half. This drive is suitable for all Fewbie+ & Intermediate members. There is an option for a BBQ in Ghost Town, if sufficient interest is shown. When registering if you are interested in the BBQ idea please post a reply to that effect…… :thanks:

Meeting Point
Al Badyer Shops on the E44 Dubai Hatta road, Last Fuel Station Lahbab approx 18kms. Coming from Dubai leave the E44 at the Major road junction before Big Red,

follow exit to the right and take right of roundabout to follow the inner road of E44 to shops, turn hard right just before shops and take track to the area behind the shops.
Approx. 1 hour from Dubai

Meeting Time: 2pm

Please check-in with DO staff on arrival, please be prompt. The meeting point is also the deflation point, drive participants can deflate on arrival.

A short drive briefing will be held immediately prior to the start time.

Drive Start: 2.15pm

Drive Route: Al Badyer via Iftar Area to Ghost Town :ymdevil: , Exit to Madam-Shwaib road, approx 1 1/2hrs to Dubai

Drive Terrain: Dunes

Duration: 3-4 hours approx., depending on convoy level

Checklist:-
a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel. Your car must be equipped with front and rear towing point.
b) Compatible Radio is a must.
c) Carry all necessary offroad gear (minimum= shovel- kinetic rope or Tow strap- rated shackles – Jack), in good condition.
d) Carry enough water / refreshments / snacks for self & co-passenger(s).
e) Full Tank of fuel a must.
f) For the safety of yourself and any passengers please ensure seat belts are worn at any time your vehicle is moving.
