Intermediate Drive – Saturday 3rd May in Sweihan

Day and date: Saturday 3rd May 2014
Drive Type: Intermediate to Advance
Meeting Point: N24 28.283 E55 20.469, 24.471291,55.340874 Old Adnoc Sweihan
Meeting Time: 13.45pm
Drive Start: 14.00pm sharp
Drive Route &Terrain: Side Sloping, Ridge Riding, Cresting, Huge Bowls
Duration: 4 hoursA drive from Sweihan to huge dunes in very soft sand with no tracks. This is a route not many of you will have done before. Huge bowls and ridges will be crossed. This one is not for the faint hearted!!!! End destination will be on the Khatim to Dubai truck road and so an air compressor is a must.
You will need to carry all of the required recovery gear. If you do not have the required gear, then please do not register. Selected participants will be sent the meeting coordinates as drive numbers are limited to 8 cars.
Checklist:-
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gears / recovery equipment in good condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).Please read the following and register for the drive:-

Duncan, Levi, truly sorry guys… gonna have to back out of the drive due to work.
If i can make it, I’ll probably make a phone call at the last minute, if that’s okay.

Dear Duncan and team. I could have joined but have some issues with my anckel. (Twisted). Just an advice, I wouldn’t recommend 3 cars convoy for this track due to weather and terrain. You need to be minimum 5 cars to drive in the area as a safety precautions. I would strongly suggest/recommend to not to drive unless you have sufficient convoy. Thanks for your understanding.
