Saturday 17 May – Sweihan Adventurous Drive

Day and date: Saturday 17th May 2014
Drive Type: Intermediate to Adventurous
Meeting Point: N24 28.283 E55 20.469, 24.471291,55.340874 Old Adnoc Sweihan
Meeting Time: 13.45pm
Drive Start: 14.00pm sharp
Drive Route &Terrain: Side Sloping, Ridge Riding, Cresting, Huge Bowls
Duration: 4 hoursA drive in huge dunes with very soft sand. This is a route not many of you will have done before. Huge bowls and ridges will be crossed. This one is not for the faint hearted!!!! End destination will be on the Khatim to Dubai truck road and so an air compressor is a must.
You will need to carry all of the required recovery gear and please make sure you car is in good working order prior to the drive.
Checklist:-
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gears / recovery equipment in good condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).Please read the following and register for the drive:-

Ok, too bad would like to join you, but 17th of may is norwegian national day so I have to attend a dinner at 19:00.
Might be too little time then…

🙂 Friday and Saturday only i can sleep till late, rest of the week my son has school so always up by 7:00 AM #:-s
I might join, depending on the doctor visit duration and mood to drive 100+ km to the meeting point haha 🙂
