0505525709Hi Guys
Unfortunately, I only have a one-day window in Dubai next week which is on Tuesday. On Monday, I will reach Dubai by 3:00 p.m. which doesn’t give me enough time to do a drive. Wednesday morning, I am off again ๐ .
Try to make it if you can. If not, there’s always a next time ๐ .

Big thanks to Sajid, Zaki, and Asem for a fun drive today…
It was great to be able to go out on a drive during the week with you guys… I hope we can schedule more midweek madness drives.
No major issues today, the sand was very soft in parts which made things more interesting.
I look forwards to joining DO in more challenging drives in the future.
:thanks: again

Thank you Ashraf for the effort you make in writing your drive report after every drive :thanks: . Members like you who are helpful, mature, active on the forum and very well equipped for off-road driving are much appreciated. Like Sanjay said, you are a future star of the club ๐ .
It certainly was some midweek madness, not so much for the different Badayer we encountered but for the after drive experience :YMDEVIL: .
Now back to the drive, the strong winds and sandstorm that we experienced in the past few days certainly played it’s part in wiping the slate clean. This was a different terrain from the normal madness that we see during weekends. There were hardly any tracks visible and the initial approach we took to the Pyramids had to be abandoned due to the vicious slipfaces we had in front of us which was compounded by the extremely soft patches of sand we came across :-SS . We found our first victim who was not from our convoy. It was a husband and wife couple who were brave enough to venture all alone in their 2.7 Hilux and were obviously getting stuck every now and then and digging their way out. They were lucky we saw them during one such stuck which was proving to be difficult for them. We helped them and were on our way O:-) .
We decided to reverse till Badayer and head to Fancy Bowl. While on our way back, we found the couple stuck again very close to our track and offered them to join our convoy and safely bring them back to Badayer. After doing our good deed for the day, we then took a long curvy route towards the Fancy Bowl as it offered a better approach from the windward side. After our stop at the Fancy Bowl, we then proceeded to another bowl which had a burnt car right next to it in the adjacent bowl. Everybody had their fun at this bowl ๐ and we were then on our way to the Pyramids to head out faster to Badayer.
There were a few reattempts and a couple of stucks which were taken care of after the initial attempts to self-recover did not work out.
Everybody drove well and had their midweek sand hunger taken care of :yesss: .
Zak was second lead followed by Bu Mohammed, Ahmed Khalil, Martin, Ashraf and Asem was the official sweep.
Thank you all for making it for the drive and special thanks to Zak and Asem for the second lead and sweep support :thanks: .
