Family oriented offroad Mountain driving / Camping/ Boating/ BBQ Outing trip with some breathtaking Views and Vistas to Musandam on Friday the 29th- Saturday the 30th of May 2015.

Convoy will be leaving sharp 1000 Hrs. sharp
Documents Required:-
1) Valid passport with UAE Residence visa. (Please refer this hyperlink http://www.omanairports.com/visaonarivals.asp for details of nationals who are granted visa on arrival at Oman.)
2) Original & valid registration card (Mulkiya) of the vehicle.
3) Original & valid insurance cover note having Oman coverage (alternatively insurance can be purchased at point of entry)
4) Original & valid UAE driving licenseThis is 2 day Trip with a Dhow cruise scheduled for the 2nd day.
Day 1.
Drive from Dubai/ Sharjah, cross over the border and on the first night,head up into the mountains, via Khor Najd for some amazing views from there, find the track to the Al Sayah Plateau and camp in fields, to escape the heat at a height of close to 2000 feet, chilling out and admiring the views. Please Carry The Camping and BBQ Requisites for the overnight Camping and BBQ.
Day 2.
The second would be an early morning drive back down into Khasab and a dhow cruise (Dhs150 per person), where we will see dolphins and snorkel around Telegraph Island. Dhow trip has to be booked for an access to Musandam, as per the Oman Government regulations and is thus mandatory.DHOW CRUISE is half day / 6 Hours program, from 10:30am to 04:30pm approx. and costs approximately AED 150 per person, This is payable directly to the Company operating the Cruise and could vary depending upon the availability.
Enjoy an unforgettable day cruising along the “Fjords of Musandam” on board a traditionally decorated Omani Dhow, where you can sit comfortably on cushions and carpets while feasting your eyes on the striking scenery. A Dhow trip to the fjords offers an insight into its fantastic landscape. During the Dhow cruise you can cruise into the Straits of Hormuz and discover different villages. The Dhow is anchored at the famous Telegraph Island, where you can swim and snorkel in the clear waters,(Snorkeling gears & life jackets will be provided) there is also the possibility to see dolphins during on the way. Refreshments, soft drinks and mineral water will be served on board and is included in the cost. Dhow trip has to be booked for an access to Musandam and is mandatory.– Passport & visa copies should be sent to the booking Tourist company by the 24th of May ‘2015.
– Valid Residence Visa with at least 6 months validity is required.
– People on Transit/ Visit Visas are not allowed on this trip.
– Original passport & visa is required.

This is due to the fact that Visas to Oman’s Musandam Governerate, will have to be applied for, at least 4 days in advance.
This will ensure the Dhow Cruise booking, too and is mandatory as Visa on arrival facility to Musandam has been discontinued for UAE residents for the past couple of years.May 26, 2015 at 5:56 am #33133The registered members may directly book the Dhow Cruise here
