This sounds like an absolute blast. Regrettably, I have a sailing race this day so I cannot join. I have been to the Al Ain air show once back when we lived in Abu Dhabi and it is a real treat. The link below is some footage of US F-15 Eagle pilots showing (off) their skills. A bit to get your appetites wet for those joining the trip.

I always wanted to attend an air show and Ahmads idea of doing a drive with an air show picnic was just amazing and i was looking forward to it. It was a very big single convoy but thanks to a tactical lead Ahmad pushed newbies and first timers estimated 60 – 80 km through the desert. Surely desert is also full of surprises but if you have support from enthusiast like Joe and Abed a 3rd helper will not see a chance to get in action.

The drive was amazing for me, as supportive advanced driver i was free to move in the convoy and could sometimesΒ  choose my own route next to the convoys movement. At first i was little shy and tried to follow sweepers tracks to get to the place action is happening but then i got more confident and tried to cut of ridges on my way πŸ˜€
Thanks Ahmad for this nice trip and Joe and Abed for your support and all drivers for your company. See you soon in the sand.
