Does anyone know how to access Wadi Bih? I would like to plan a camping trip up there soon and am still perplexed how to access it. I tried about two months ago going through Dibba and there was a small UAE border crossing. We were told you cannot cross unless you are Emirati, Omani, or had a reservation at one of the hotels (Ziggy Bay or Golden Tulip). As we are neither Emirati nor Omani and had no hotel booking we had to turn around. I have been researching trying to access it from RAK/Musandam direction but it seems there is another border crossing coming from that side too (just short of Wadi Bih) and will prevent you from accessing it.
I have never been there but all that I hear about it is fabulous so I am determined to get there. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
:thanks: :thanks:need to head across the boarders to khasab in oman and come in from there just behind the airport!
thats the most picturesque route with fjords, accacia forests, high mountains and deep canyons ๐
ill share with u the route whenever u wish matt!heres the starting point MAP LINK

i would be happy to organize a camping trip to this area if theres enough demand!
been a while since ive gone there and i honestly miss it…. will be very cold this time of year though and surely wont have any sand at all.. but definitely worth the visit!so let me know guys and we can make it happen ๐
Oh perfect. That is great; thanks Joe. Are you driving tomorrow evening? If not what would be the best way to get the route from you? I could meet you on Saturday if you are free. We are planning to head there towards the end of next week with the long weekend…..unless we want to plan a DO trip camping trip there over the long weekend.

It will be very cold though with expected single digit Centigrade temperatures in that area.quote Ahmad Pervez:A camping trip to Musandam with Wadi Bih thrown in…that’s a sterling idea Joe & Matt!!!
It will be very cold though with expected single digit Centigrade temperatures in that area.Yes, I think so too Ahmad. It will be good for us to dig out some warm clothes and remind ourselves of what cold weather really feels like :-O

Tell your wives you’re going on a romantic getaway haha ๐กThat is genius John…and I assume you mean tell your wife that you are going on a romantic getaway in the case when you are going with your wife….and not someone else :))
