Folks,
Was looking for best tire rotation direction and came across some thread which does not advice cross rotation due to tire movement in opposite direction. In UAE weather condition what would be best tire rotation suggestion. Appreciate your valuable comments.
:thanks:
Devaif u have non directional tires! i think u do need to run ur them in opp direction to eliminate feathering caused by directional friction…
it might run rough for some time but im sure u wont feel it in an fj, its probably more evident in very quiet sedans…if u follow the cross patterns below u will ensure equal tire wear and longevity of the tires.
for non directional tires follow this pattern:
and for directional tires meant to be installed and run in one direction only follow this:
cheers

The rotation pattern will be obviously different for full time 4 wheel drive vehicles such as the Manual FJ, Prado or the Land Cruiser.

This works really well, but you have to rotate your tires more often for it to work well. Wouldn’t go more than 10,000kms (on a bigger heavier truck I would do half that) if you want to involve the 5th wheel. Good news is you will get more life out of your tires as they will be rotated more often and meaning more even wear and you have 1/5 more rubber to burn before you need to replace.
