Hey guys,
i have found a snorkel I actually like the look of – any technical advice or comments on the intake being at the rear and underside? I added some photos to show it.
This snorkel originates from Kazakhstan so was wondering if the engine would suffer from our climate and driving style in the desert?
Thanks ๐
Engine wont suffer but the wallet wud. This model retails for around 450 usd plus 100 usd shipping. :-ss :-ss
You can get a snorkel locally from Shangai Trading for AED 250 only and you can turn the snorkel head 180* degrees ๐ ๐ ๐

Sometimes you’ve just got to pay to look good ๐
I’m really not keen on the look of an everyday snorkel – thought this would be the alternative to the river raider I also had my eye on – yes, it’s expensive – it’s either this or another handbag for my wife ๐
I know what I’d rather :drive:
With the intake so close to the roof, when getting a sand shower and sand laid on the roof, it will go inside.
When intake is “in the air” there are minimum chances to get sand inside snorkel.
Unless it has a “drain” at the bottom.
This is purely theoretical, only tests would show.
PS: what’s with this snorkel-mania these days, everyone is looking for them, and they are meant for mainly water crossing ๐ :ymsmug: :ymhug:
