Day and date: Friday, 25th November 2016
Drive Type: Newbie, Fewbie, Multiple convoys depending on registrations and Marshals’ Availability
Meeting Point: Al Murquab Mosque on E-66
Google Map Users, (just copy and paste 24.820588, 55.575948)
Meeting Time: 1:00 pm
Drive Start: 1:30 pm
Drive End: 5:30 pm
Duration: 4 hours
Drive Route: Murquab to Al Qudra Lakes
Drive Terrain: small/medium technical dunes
Finish Point: Al Qudra Lakes (24.837642, 55.374541)For those joining the BBQ, Please carry your own food, drinks and BBQ equipment, sufficient for you and your passengers. In addition, carry at least 1 bundle of firewood.
Please note there is a mosque at the meeting point for those wishing to offer Juma’a prayers.
There is an option to exit at the finishing point for those who do not wish to stay for the BBQ.
Recommended to carry your air compressors as the nearest petrol station is 30+ KMSAny Members wanting to Join for the BBQ only can arrive at Al Qudra Lakes (24.837642, 55.374541) by 5:30PM
Let’s enjoy some Friday fun on the sand and a chill around a campfire.
Checklist:
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio & Flag Pole is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.
f) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).Thanks

Dear Offroaders,
thank you very much for the great newbie drive yesterday. Special thanks to the seniors, @Saif, @Sash716, @Asim, and last but not least @Sebastien. It was a very fun learning experience, where I am sure that all the newbies felt safe and in good hands, as I did. Thank you for your patience and support which are very motivating to become a better driver and a better person.
See you at the next :drive: as a co-pilot (or as a pilot if I manage to negotiate that ;;) ;;) ;;) )
