Advice on wheels/rims…

Looking to upgrade my wheels and rims on my 2014 pajero 3.8 lwb.

    The bolt pattern is 6×139.7mm.

139.7mm is exactly equal to 5.5″ so can I pick a rim that is 6 bolts by 5.5″ or do i need a rim that is specifically 139.7mm.

Why do some manufacturers say the bolt pattern is 139.7 and some say 5.5″?

Apologies if this is a stupid question, never bought rims before and don’t want to spend money on an incompatible set.

    TIA.

its the same measurement… one is metric the other imperial…
one thing to keep in mind though is that most aftermarket rims will not be hubcentric, u could still rely on the cone shaped fasteners to centre the wheel on the hub… but its advisable to machine some aluminum shims to centre the new wheels on the hub, which in turn is safer and more reliable.

Thanks! I would have missed that! I can get the spacers to ensure the wheel fits snug on the hub.
