Hi ladies and gentle man….
Who all are ready to celebrate New Year with MEO?????
Upon getting your suggestion and final confirmation we can plan something nice to celebrate the New Year in the desert…
Suggestion One :Arrange a nice BBQ and the big tent somewhere in the desert.. we can get hold of some event organizer who can help us with this.. maximum approximate expenditure will be AED.150 per head without drinks.. (Now im sure someone will come up and say 150 is too much in that case he/she can do it with 50 dhs.. its their turn)
Suggestion Two:
Our own BBQ and drinks, we can start the drive about 10 PM on 31st by 11 PM we should reach the camp site, fix the tent and make our own BBQ…
You suggestions are always welcome….

My suggestion/s…We have done this on almost six new years in the last ten years.
ALL ARE WELCOME…MEMBERS/ FAMILIES/ FRIENDS/ ACQUAINTANCES/ NEIGHBOURS…THE MORE THE MERRIER 🙂
Professional Tents…It will be cold on 31st Dec., we need some larger communal tents…something similar to a bedouin tent with 3 sides closed…open in the front…with proper electrical lighting & seating.
Professional catering…would rather enjoy the music than do a Barbeque.
Professional DJ…to spin the music with a proper Dance floor.
We could have 3 tents in a U shape with the dance floor in between.
The location has to be
a. In Dubai, closer to one of the major highways.
b. The site should not be visible/ audible from the road & vice versa.
c. Accessible by a two wheel drive, so that people with cars may join, too plus the catering company van should be able to bring the food.
d. Should have a large Bon fire.
e. Drinks are individual’s responsibility.
The approximate expense per head should be about Dhs.150-200, depending on the numbers…this is still very good BANG FOR BUCK…if one compares it to any similar programme in any Hotel.
The cut off date for participant’s confirmation should be in the third week of Dec. or we may not get the DJ/ catering/ tents/facilities.
Jessil, I agree with Ahmed. For a start just get numbers and see if this could be a possible plan or not.

i will finish my work on the 31st of dec. on 11:00 pm, so if the party will be going till early morning or late that much so it will be worth to me anf my friends to attend, also is there any one planning to camping there till morning! i think all will be off next day am i right?

Meeting : Dragon Mart petrol station about 9.00 PM and the convoy will move by sharp 9.15 and we will reach the camp spot latest by 10.30 and set up our camp and the BBQ…

15.Hey Jessi can we start early, 9.00 pm meeting point is too late bro, think abt it something by 6 or 7 latest so that we will have few hrs to set the camp and get bonfire and enjoy few last moments of 2008. I am fine with anytime after 6.
lets finalise d total no of d cars first… den we will decide abt d timing, b’coz most of the members works till 7 PM… hence we need to make two convoy…… in order to adjust with theire timings…
