January 27, 2009 at 4:26 am #9549you get the EFS lift at ICON 04-3382744
Dobinsons at Dubai 4×4 Trade (next to 4×4 motors in garhoud, opposite al bustan hotel)
or OME’s from ARB in abu dhabi 02-5553600
what kind of 4×4 do you own? because if its a JEEP then there are a lot of other places that sell stuff for JEEP’s. I think RAMY trading (04-2698138) has a lot of stuff for JEEP’s
February 17, 2009 at 9:49 am #9856Offroad zone are cr@p dont come near them
first of all before recommending which place what do you drive?
if its a prado/fortuner/patrol then go to 4×4 shop in airport road and get the OME or Dobinsons for less than 2800 fitted. best price there.
if its a FJ/Xterra then go for the expensive stuff, will last you longer and better do it right, go to Mebar Garage on Etihad road 050-4224535 Rashad.
If its a korean car you drive, i suggest the beach ๐

February 17, 2009 at 4:01 pm #9869this is what i did for approximately 10500
After a long wait i got the suspension installed on the X, in the front its a 2,5” extendable Icon Vehicle Dynamics coil over spring in addtition to Total Chaos UCAs. As for the rear we installed a custom made shackle lift to gain 3 inches and kept the stock shocks til the new ones arrived.
here are some pics while they were installing the kit.
Stock fender clearance
Stock Coilover and UCA
Stock UCA
Stock Spring
The stuff
New coilover installed
New UCA installed
Looking neat
New fender clearance
Leaf springs before adding teflon
After adding teflon to reduce the squeeking noise
Old Shackles – New Shackles
Coated
Stock Rear Shackle
New Rear Shackles gave 3 inch lift
i must admit i was impressed how fast the guys finished the work, it all took them 8 hours including fabricating the Rear shackles from scratch.. had a short test in al warqa and i like what i have.. will need some time to get used to the increased ride height.
up next:
– Icon Bash Plate
– Volant Air Intake
– H&R spacers
– JBA ceramic headersquote desert knight:hey i guys i have a nissan xterra 2008 S , i got a 2.5″ lift without changing the orginal shocks and coils i just put a aluminum space specially made for the car and a extra leaf for the rear it gave my car and over all lift of 3″ i have been driving it in the desert for 4 months now and no problems of any sort . Can the same thing be done with a Xterra 2010 Offroad? Does it effect the on-road driving? How much bigger tires can I go with without having to change the rims, both height and width?
Cheers!

I noticed you posted this around 3 years ago, how long did you have the xterra after lifting it? Did the lift kit effect it in a ny way?
I have the 2010 Xterra Offroad, will the same thing work on that too? What tires do you recommend for desert offroading? We went to Sweihan last weekend and I ended up losing my bumper and 2 mud flaps, that’s why I am really considering a lift.
Any recommendations?
Cheers
