We have specific training programs suited for different levels of experience. Choose the one that fits you. Also, depending on the vehicle you drive, we will assign you to a group with people who drive a similar vehicle as yours and marginally customize each training so you may benefit more.
Driving and recovery basics – Beginner level
What you will learn:
- Knowledge about your car, such as peak performance RPM, ideal transmission and transfer case settings for different situations, amongst others
- Driving techniques for small technical dunes
- Managing speed and staying safe
- Methods of climbing tall dunes
Essentially, maximizing strengths of your car and driving style and minimizing the weaknesses.
Session breakdown:
- First: One hour theory and two hours practice
- Second: Three hours practice
- Third session: Application of knowledge in a convoy
Ridge riding – Intermediate level
Requirements: You should have minimum one star with the DO club or completed the ‘Driving and recovery basics training’.
What you will learn:
- Controlling your vehicle on the top of ridge at high and low speed
- Switching sides on the ridge
- Utilizing ridges to navigate technical dunes
Session breakdown
- First: One hour theory and two hours practice
- Second: Three hours practice
- Third session: Application of knowledge in a convoy
Navigating the dark – Advance level
Requirements: Minimum two stars with the DO club and auxiliary off-road lights.
What you will learn:
- As the name suggests, you will learn to drive in the desert at night
- Gain confidence for driving at night

- Second: Three hours practice
- Third session: Application of knowledge in a convoy
