Liwa (Rub Al Khaali) Overnighter on 20th/21st feb.’2009.
Let’s do Liwa before the weather gets too hot!!!
Two days Overnighter, A nice challenging route…only meant for experienced Drivers.
Limited to a maximum of Ten cars.Meeting Time 0745Hrs. To depart at 0800Hrs. Sharp.
Meeting point Emarat Petrol Pump after Jafza on DXB-ADH Route.
Return to Dubai on 21st evening.Please Make sure that
a. The vehicle is in good servicable condition.
b. Towhooks front & rear are available & accessible.
c. Spare Tyre is in good condition.
d. Basic Recovery tools are available.
e. Carry sufficient food & drinks for self + passengers to last for 36 Hrs.THIS IS RUB AL KHAALI ( The Empty Quarters)…
On this route there is a certain off road stretch, where we may not encounter ANYTHING For about 300Kms.
We will have to be totally self sufficient for the duration of this time & carry Food/ water/ Fuel/ Provisions/ medication( if required)/ Drinks etc. etc.Cars without a sub Tank WILL have to carry spare fuel.
We will be camping, so complete camping equipment has to be carried.
One may carry frozen food items which could be cooked on site.
All vehicles are required to carry two bundles of wood each, for Bonfire/ barbeque.Any further inputs are welcome.

I sincerely hope that it turns out to be a better trip and route then the previous ones.
I wish I was there too!
I am out of UAE for this season at least or maybe longer due to medical reasons.
Guys have fun but to all the new members joining this trip,please do not try to play around during small stops during the drive unless you ask the trip leader.
As the terrain is unforgiving and it puts loads of undue pressure on the seniors to pull out the badly and unduely stucks!HAPPY DRIVING IN LIWA!!! :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive:

The proposed route is to enter beyond the Madina Zayed turn off, quite close to Ruwais & we would come out near Hameem after going round the Moreeb Area!!!
