Some very nice, challenging terrain lies between Sweihan & Al’ain…This is a beautiful area with some very high, soft, Red Dunes…
One of these is especially high & known in the local off Roading fraternity as the Sand Mountain, perhaps, due to it’s shape but more certainly due to it’s size…
It has been a few years since I was there, so let’s go & re-discover the Sand Mountain….
Date : Friday the 22nd of May ‘2009.
Meeting Point Emarat Al Rawda on Al’Ain Road.
Meeting time 1400Hrs. for a 1430Hrs. Sharp Departure.Some of us could plan on staying back & camping while others come back or … we could have a Barbecue & then come back to Dubai or …
We could all just drive back to Dubai…Please make sure on the service-ability of your car, including the spare tire and availability of the front & rear tow points on your car.
So…let’s go!!!

Since we have a good number of people now. just wanted to know what is the majority with ? are we camping there overnight or are we driving back ? are any families gonna be there ?
just wanted to know so that we can also plan accordingly for food, tent etc
I regret I could not Join this drive, Actually promised a colleague to support him for arranging a drive for some office colleagues (first timers).
I am sure I am gonna miss a great drive, that area is really good.
