    ====================
    The drive to Khasab is one of the most enjoyable and scenic in the entire region. You drive on winding roads with gradual steps and drops… mountains on one side and the ocean on the other side. Enroute there are many picnic spots with lots of swings on the beach for kids. We will stopover for pictures and kids to enjoy.

    From the meeting point we will reach the UAE-Oman border after two hours of driving. Al in all, its a two-and-a-half to three hours drive from meeting point till our destination in Khasab.

    Once in Khasab, we will stopover for refreshements (and toilet break) before driving on to Khor Najd – an amazing drive up steep tracks for an amazing view of the fjord.

    We will continue our journey towards Jebel Harim, the highest point in Musandam (around 2,087 meters high). You will feel the temperature dropping as we gain altitude. On the way, you’ll see some amazing mountains on your way to Jebel Harim. It’s a steep drive (gravel tracks like we have in Hatta but steeper).

    After the lunch break we drive back and camp at the Khasab beach for the night. The adults can be busy with the BBQ while the kiddos can play at the nearby swings.

    Special classes will be conducted for kids by one of our members to teach the kids how to build a fire, pitch a tent and how to protect the environment.
