Liwa calling Again – 18th & 19th of Feb. 2011

This is going to be the last trip to Liwa before closing this season.
Those who missed the last few drives, here is the chance to join.

WE ARE NOT RESTRICTING ANY MEMBER FROM THIS DRIVE,
SO EVERYBODY IS WELCOME INCLUDING THE FAMILIES.

Meeting point: Emarat gas station Jebl Ali (Hope everyone knows about the place)
Meeting Time: 6.45 am the convoy will depart at SHARP 7.00 am on 18th Feb 2011.

Total Driving distance will be 900 km approx. from Dubai.

Please make sure that your Vehicle is mechanically sound, check all fluid levels & spare tyre.

We shall drive on tarmac for around two hours and then make a refuelling stop at car museum(A MUST FOR EVERY ONE).Vehicles having small fuel tanks kindly carry some extra fuel in cans.

We will deflate approx 10 kms after the white sands on Hameem Road,and enter the desert at around 10.00 am.

We shall drive till 12.30 pm and then stop for the Lunch , we need to carry the lunch.

This is a very Scenic Area with lots of Tall majestic Dunes and is part of the circuit of Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge and totally isolated and unspoilt by civilization.

There are a number of Gazelle Reserves and feeding areas along the way so we might be able to spot some gazelles…

Keep your binoculars and Cameras ready!!!

The camp has to be set up before sunset in order for everybody to have a nice relaxed evening.
PLEASE CARRY BARBECUE ITEMS MEAT, FOOD, CHARCOAL ETC. FOR SELF AND YOUR PASSENGERS.

EACH CAR HAS TO CONTRIBUTE AT LEAST TWO BUNDLES OF WOOD FOR THE COMMUNAL BONFIRE SO PLEASE CARRY THE WOOD AS WELL.

Expected temperature at night is 15 to 20 Degree, hence please carry enough warm clothes and sleeping bags etc.

Morning wake up whistle will be blown at 6.30 am sharp and after that we will go to Hameem for toilets usage and breakfast.(7.30 am max) We shall revert back and break camp as there will be heavy dew so we will have to wait till the tents etc. dry up.

Max by 9.30 am we shall start our Day 2 drive which again will be a very nice and scenic route comprising of some challanging dunes and massive slip faces.

We will target to be back on tarmac by 1430Hrs. max, inflate and drive back towards Dubai making a lunch stop at an ADNOC along the way.

We expect to be back in Dubai by 1800Hrs. on 19th of Feb. 2011

Please do the arrangement for the food for yourself and your co passenger/s.

Please make sure each car will be carrying 2 bundle of fire wood.

All participating members are required to carry basic recovery kit. Please remember NO KIT – NO TRIP
