After meeting at the Epco petrol station near the Al Madam roundabout we set off to the starting point some 5km away. After deciding that it would be a case of self recovery (and a bit of self discovery thrown into the mix), the channel was going to be 4 and that there was no driving order we started the drive at 8:29 according to my GPS. Confidence sank to its lowest point ever after I got stuck in the first 5 minutes of the drive and self recovery was not going to get me anywhere. Fortunately Abdula was there to give me a quick pull. Changing tire pressure helped me big time and slowly my confidence was getting back on track. The terrain was quite diverse with a couple of big climbs, treacherous deep sand and a nice technical bit with short dunes and lots of bowls. The group drove like experts which let Ronbinson to ask “so tell me, what is the difference between the drive we just did and an advanced drive?”. Moments of great interest.. Robinsons bumper that came off, Thanseers protection plate on the bottom of his Pajero that needed some tie raps and some baby camels. Already looking forward to the next drive. Thanks Thanseer for organising yet another great drive!

The morning…the weather…the Drive…and the Participants…
A Technical Drive with barely a hitch(Pun intended!!! 😉 ) …that’s the way to do it Guys!!!
Thanks Thanseer!!!Indeed it was a great morning drive, had good fun :-BD 🙂 Thanks Thanseer for organizing this treat to we early birds!!! :thanks:
Nice report Tyn….. :ymapplause: :ymapplause: :ymapplause: a serpia style report without spices 😐 😐 😐
Thanseer, Rob, Ricardo, Tyn, Aemi and myself were the convoy as per the original plan to meet at Al Madam. But we had a pleasant surprise of Chairman , Abdullah and Yousef joining the convoy making it perfect for the adventure :-BD
As expected, SIR did a great job at lead supported by Ahmed Bhai as second lead and untiring Abdullah & Yousef at sweep. I really enjoyed the drive since it is very relaxing to drive somewhere at the middle of the convoy, “empty box” effect…….. 😉 Since all participants were too good in this business, no convoy position was assigned and were free to drive in any position in the convoy. Drive route was more or less a revision of the previous morning drive with a little more “bowl games”. Personally, I missed the “speed boat” part on short dunes with tricky ridges …. 😀
Great drive by everyone with good handling of their machines at the tricky stretches :ymapplause:
The final phase of bowl games at Super Bowl and Iftar Bowl would have been very nice if the sand was not ploughed so badly as it was 😮 It indicates the high exploitation of our limited offroad, marking the arrival of peak season :-ss It was entirely different, couple of weeks back. I believe there was not even a single bowl or slope, which were not spoiled by buggies giving the look and feel for a farm land ploughed for sowing 🙁 Even driving on flat surfaces were so shaky, made me feel that I was driving a tractor 😕
DO being responsible offroaders, spent some time to clear the garbage from one of such spoiled bowls.. Appreciates Robinson, Tyn and Thanseer for their social responsibility commitment ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^
Very good team, nice drive, good climate, good company…. look forward to repeat it many more in future 🙂 :drive:

Ahmed Pervez, Ricardo,Tyn, Aemi, Robinson, Abdulla+Yousef, Kumar & Thanseer+Wasi AbbasDare to Follow:
What a drive…. You peoples are amazing :ymhug: …. This is called real offroading….All the above reports itself says about the drive. All the participants reached at the meeting point on time and were waiting for the lead. Lead reached at the meeting point with the club founder, exact starting time as announced. Without any delay we moved towards the entry point. After deflating just given two sentence brief, about the drive. As Tyn said, after 5 minutes drive he got stuck 🙁 . We were watching his self recovery attempt from the top of the dune. At last our Rescue Man – you can assume who will be – saved Tyn 🙂 from being alone somewhere in the desert. After this I don’t know how Tyn got some extra power for himself as well as for his Jeep 😮 . May be it is Jeep thing, we don’t understand :-\ .
We start climbing all the highest dunes on the way and did some extreme adventurous drive….DARE TO FOLLOW :ymdevil: …. The most of the path used for this drive was technical. The team was so good so everybody enjoyed the drive instead of just driving 🙂 . I am really proud of you guys for the improvement you people are achieving, especially Tyn, Ricardo and Rob :ymapplause: :ymapplause: . Aemi was outstanding on the entire drive :ymapplause: :ymapplause: . Rob didn’t show any mercy to his toy in Technical session. He tore off his right side of the rear bumper :(( . But he kept this part as an achievement award 🙂 for technical drive. Dare to Follow session was so scary :ymdevil: and I salute you guys for the daring attempt :-BD . When I look at the pictures woooow #:-s #:-s it is something beyond the limit. But we did all in a safely manner. There is no need to tell about Ahmed Bhai’s and Abdulla’s drive. They were the backbone of this drive. Therefore I could lead without any worries and our Tiger was a watch dog :p .
Wasi Abbas was my companion. He just came as a passenger to learn more about the offroading. After the drive he was like a zombie (-| i-) .
However the entire drive was fantastic except the last part Super bowl and Iftar bowl. The entire area was spoiled, not even good for a walk. As Kumar mentioned DO being responsible offroaders, we spend half an hour to clear the garbage spilled over these areas. Rob, your initiative on this is really working…. :ymapplause: :ymapplause:
Ricardo, we will plan something interested to you, Al Faqa or similar to that in a short time. 🙂
Kumar, are you happy? Finally my report is up :p .
On a special note I am going to ask Hamza to add some more Smilies, so Rob can delineate the report more efficiently as well as we can post the drive. :)) :))
Thank you all for joining this daring drive and showing your skills. Hope to see you all for the next drive. :thanks:
