Dear all
At the outset, I Thank one and all for their support & insight on techniques of offroad driving. I did learn a lot.
I regret all the inconvenience caused due to myself getting stuck couple of times, getting injured & my kids falling sick during the course of the drive. Apparently it was baptism by fire.
I plan to join the next newbie drive ( alone of course) For more experience.BCT: Amjed,, A very special thanks to you for all your help.
Regards Arun,
quote mumtazh::thanks: to you guys for wonderful drive and including me (as i was unregistered/listed member). Excellent and very encouraging report. Roshan good job for snacks, I really like it. Ashraf love you man as you are my mentor and thanks for taking me offroad (from onroads :drive:

quote Desert King:Here we go for the Newbie Drive ReportThank you all for joining this drive and made it a wonderful drive which everybody did beyond the expectation compare to the terrain we chose for the Newbie. All participant reached at the meeting point as scheduled except Wasi. We started the drive almost one hour late from the scheduled time due to Wasi again, as he missed the starting point.
I have given a chance to Rob for the welcome speech and briefing which he did in a very professional manner and I believe everybody understood the very basic things of offroading that reflected in the entire drive.
As usual we started with easy level and after building the confidence level of the participants we moved to next level. To my surprise everybody driven well even few first timers forgetting that they are Newbies. I appreciate everyone who is picking up the techniques of desert driving in a short time.
David: Improved lot and very controlled driving.
Arun: New to our club and first drive with us; no doubt one day he will drive like flying on top of the dunes, because he got one of the best toy.
Denis: Good progress, controlled driving.
Tariq: New to our club and first drive with us, good attempt, keep it up
Roshan: Few drives with us. Improved a lot. More to go. No doubt about that one day he will be on that height.
Mumtaz: After GNFD drive he gained his confidence, to do what he can do with his toy.
Ahmed & His Friend: Ahmed one of the very old member in our club and he brought his friend ( Sorry I forgot his name) to get the basic of offroading. Due to loss of time they forced to abort the drive in middle to attend the Jumaa prayer. I hope he enjoyed the drive for a short time.
Amjed: One of the key Rescue Unit member. Especially on this drive he did his job. Without his presence there could be a difficult situation.
Rob: Our Winch Man at Sweep. No comments. Rob and your Rop (rope) are fantastic. The person with his wife who sacrifices his own enjoyments and decide to help the newbies and share the knowledge to them. I salute you man….Due to the late starting we couldn’t complete the planned route. So friends please be on time so we can have the fun.
Roshan, thank you for your treat. It was nice to have some sweet boxes in the middle of the desert.
I am really happy to knew that you all brought your vehicle out in one piece without any bumper damage or any other issues. The terrain we chose for this drive was not an easy one. We carefully study and chose a track according to the participant where they can enjoy the drive.
Again it was a wonderful drive. I appreciate the quick improvement of our members. Keep it up guys!!! Till then see you all on next drive.
Thank you
Thanseer Wonderfull report…though you missed ONLY my name…
quote JustDen:Thanks Amjed!By the way, not sure how will this be interpreted (good/bad) but caught myself driving with “hand brake on” around 3 times 5-10 min each 😀
And how can I get my number of drives updated in the profile? I was already 2 times with DO, but still showing zero… 🙁
Its quite easy to update the drives you have done, go to your profile in the info and update the drive.

Time management..thats very important..
And I feel As long as we enjoy the drive….it really might not be a concern if we touch/reach few points that we plan/sought for before the drive..
And I Enjoyed the drive..and I am sure everyone else enjoyed as well…I would like to mention… as the DO seniors told me once.every Drive is different and thrilling in its own way..doesnt matter you are driving to the same destination…
Iftaar bowl and Pyramids will wait for us… 🙂 as long as we keep this spirit of offroading..so lets keep driving…JUST for FUNquote asharafkc:And I feel As long as we enjoy the drive….it really might not be a concern if we touch/reach few points that we plan/sought for before the drive..
