A fantastic newbie++ drive, with some intermediate stuff thrown in! – that should summarize today’s drive! For those who missed it here’s what happened.
We met at tawi nizwa and the convoy of cars proceeds 2+ kms to the deflation point.
Thanseer was the lead and seeing as no other marshals were present Ashok took on the role of sweeper. A job that he must be commended on!Some sideways action for all of us, and loads of fun! Thanseer would be best to comment on the drivers but I think everyone did very well.

An awesome morning and perfect climate for offroad adventure.
Highlight:- Successful trip with just two marshals!!! Lead marshal and Sweeper.
Event:- Thanseer was the lead marshal and he selected the route giving an opportunity to the novice drivers to build up their confidence to tackle the second phase of tricky dunes. Though few of our team mates were getting struck very often, it was quite a good fun and experience.
Mishap:- One of the participant broke his jeep’s axle :(( . Thanks to Belhasa Advanced Motorist club lead marshall, Aziz for fixing it temporarily and recovering the car in two wheel drive out of the soft sand pocket :ymapplause:
Achievement:- Everyone reached back the tarmac with their vehicles and bumpers…. 😉
Good work guys!!!!! :ymapplause: Enjoyed the company as well. Look forward for such great trips in 2012 :yesss:

Beautiful drive once again perfectly led by our marshal who started easy and increased difficulty as we moved on. I finish 2011 with a sweet feeling of achievement and indeed a lot of fun in the process. Thanks for this great club for all the drives and looking forward to joining often in 2012.
Indeed a great experience…Thanseer….thanks a ton for all your efforts u had to put today….and also Mr.Ashok for the great support to Thanseer and all the other guys to finish the drive smoothly….I would only like to add one request that we have atleast 2 marshalls during the drive, so that it would save some more time to enjoy the dunes…..and the whole responsibility doesnt lie on one marshall….but neways we all ended up safe and sound driving over the smooth and tricky dunes….

I am so happy today at the last day of 2011, to carry some memorable moments to 2012. You people done it. Well done boys. Keep it up…!!!
Thank you all for joining this drive and made it a wonderful drive which every body did beyond the expectation. As our last Saturday’s Morning Drive all participant reached at the meeting point before the time and we waited till the scheduled time to start the drive. After deflation and a short brief we started the drive at 0815hrs. I was leading the drive as well as assisting the sweep together in the history of our club. Due to some personal circumstances and technical issues with our Marshall’s vehicles, they couldn’t join for this drive. How ever I managed with the help of Mr. Asok who took the responsibility of the Sweep. Thanks a lot Asok for your timely help.
As usual we started with easy level and after building the confidence level of the participants we moved to Intermediate level. I appreciate every one who is picking up the techniques of desert driving in a short time.
Ricardo: Improved lot and driving now without any fear.
G. Kumar: New to our club and first drive with us but, much experience in hand.
Asok: Good progress, controlled driving.
Ganesh: New to our club and few drives with us but, good attempt keep it up
Jerry: After sitting with us for Faqa drive now he knows how to handle his Power House. Good observation and better performance.
Sreekumar: After sitting with us for Faqa drive he gained his confidence, to do what he can do with his tiny toy.
Robinson: Good learner, He proved that Explorer has power. Rob, you should inform Ford where you have taken your explorer. You might be getting an achievement award.
Ahmed Farghaly: New to our club, Good attempt, Good improvement from starting point to the finishing point. (Please let me know your user name once you register)We had a small issue with one of our participant Vehicle in a very soft bowl adjacent to Top of the Big Red. Timely help from Belhasa Advanced Motorist Club Lead Marshall Mr. Aziz (Thank You) who is friend of Mr. G. Kumar, who was present there, fix it temporarily so we could take out the car from there on two wheel drive. Then we headed to the tarmac and we touched the tarmac by 1130hrs.
Again it was a wonderful drive. I appreciate the quick improvement of our members. Keep it up guys!!! Till then see you all on next drive.

I tried thrice to upload the pics here, it said upload complete…but i couldnt see the pics…..i followed all the steps as said…..is there something which im missing….pls advise…thanks
