im just wondering, how safe is it to bring along a 15month old kid? if its not safe, whats a good age for him to start joining me? his 1st word was “car” 2nd was “thatha” …. so he has potential ๐Ÿ˜‰

Even with a proper car seat…I would not recommend any kid younger than 36 months on any desert drives…

I checked out the pics and now I feel I should have gotten my sleepy and drunk arse out of bed and out there on the dunes with you guys. Some freakishly lovey dunes those were! The firday brunch parties are getting in the way for my once upon a time regular friday dune bashing… :((

Well thats just not true ….I have taken babies for desert safaris on many occasions as young as 12 month old and in all honesty the babies actually really enjoy the up and down of the dunes .

Even my friends 2 yr old loved it and I became jeep cha cha ๐Ÿ™‚

But ofcourse U have to be a little carefull not to make any bad jumps or hard impacts other that its all good. But now wud not be a good time as it really hot nowadays …during the cooler seasons sudnt be a prob

    Well…that’s my recommendation…but obviously…it’s your choice…
On an easy drive, it may be possible…but tougher drives…It has to be Negative…I am sorry…

You mean ‘recovered’ man? Hope you remember my classes on how to hook the tow rope to a shackle.. instead of trying to bend the pin ;).

I’ve taken my son for dunning a few times and he was just less than 2 yrs. He loved it but I was very inexperienced at that time and a few jumps / bumps were not in my control (which resulted in the baby crying to come to the front seat) and I think even with experience there are times when you cannot avoid certain bumps those might not be good for the babies. Therefore I think its not a very good idea to take younger kids for longer/tougher drives and as Ahmed Bhai said for easier drives its ok. These are my two cents….
