Hi Neasboy. I have also a Pajero and it had the same original metal skid plate which is quite strong but may be not enough as I managed to destroyed it. I went to Best Line garage 2 weeks ago and they made for me anotherone that looks stronger. I will be on the drive Friday afternoon if you want to see it. Pierre.

IT will be great to see the skidplate and check it’s construction. Guess I’ve not put the original through enough to break it yet :-ss
To close out the thread, I went for the rear and front skid plates, along with a trim of the front bumper that was damaged. Photos attached, feel free to climb under the car at this Fridays drive and have a look. Also got a ABS isolation switch installed for 150 dirhams. saves further crawling under the car to disable it or pulling fuses.
@ extensive7 Car is a 5 door, 3.5 litre.
Took Alex’s advice, got he work done at 5 star. Looking forward to hitting the sand shortly!

JasonGood job man :yesss: How much did they charge u and is that steel or aluminium? what is the thickness?
~ 1200 Dirhams for the front and 800 for the back. Seems to be the going price with the reputable 4×4 shops.
Both aluminum, rear 3mm plates with rubber coating. Front 8mm with Nylon bushings/spacers to help with vibration.
As I was pulling out, another car was pulling in with rear bumper damage to get the same work.

very nice! its a good armor at the front with 8 mm aluminium! its important that u protected engine bay and first weak thing is actuator, at the back 3 mm more than enough. for me it was simply plastic cover which didn’t give rear bumper to be a shovel on tight places!
