    Hi Ahmed,

    Welcome to MEO.
    I am a newbie, just like you.

    MEO is a great club to be in – these guys really know their stuff and are good people too.

    If you don’t have any sand experience at all (desert safari doesn’t count 🙂 ), then it’s best you join a newbie trip – anything more maybe a daunting and, perhaps, unsettling experience.

    Trips and skill levels are posted a few days before each trip.
    Currently, we have one regular session for newbie’s called ‘Coffee with Roshan’ – each Friday at 5.30am in Lahbab.

    Hope you can join us soon!

    Thanks for me adding me to the list.
    I have a 2008 Prado with a sports kit, will the sport kit be a hinderance to the ride? or will it be ok to do with it?

    I think he should check the distance between from “bumper” and a flat ground just below it. Just see if you can crawl under easily without lifting the car. If you can you are good to go. Ali can do it under his Xterra and his car is just perfect in the desert. :ymsmug:

    I measured it and it is little more than the 12 inches measure. Hope i can do it. On the sides, next to the tyres i feel it should be a little more than the 12 inches.
