This coming Friday MAR 16 we will be visiting the eastern emirates for a full day adventure drive.
All DO members and their families are invited to join us for a pleasant day in the mountains where we shall start slowly on road trip between mountains and some rainwater basin then we will make our way through the wadi to a spectacular BURAQ DAM where we will have lunch break and relax then we head to FILI exit straight into the dunes starting from 2nd December . Once we’ve had enough dune bashing we will head to an open flat land near the exit to enjoy a BBQ/shisha and end the day around 09:00 pmFor those who wish to stay for the BBQ pls make sure to bring your own equipment, food, beverage and some fire wood. we will be having 1/2 h lunch break near the DAM during the day as well, so some extra food should be sufficient for that.
Please note that there will be 3 option for this trip: (Kindly mention your preference in the comments below)
1- join for full day. ( wadi + dunes )
2- join for the first part ( wadi )
3- join for the second part ( dunes )DATE: Friday MAR 16, 2016
TIME: 9:00 am – night
PLACE: Eastern EmiratesMeeting Point option 1 & 2: Adnoc Petrol Station E102 Sharjah kalba rd after al khatam, this is the last petrol station.

Meeting Time: 9:00 am convoy will leave at 9:30 am sharpMeeting Point option 3: 2nd December Cafeteria

Meeting Time: 03:00 pmDrive Terrain: Wadi gravel roads, some rocks, sand dunes.
Checklist:
a) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard.
b) Carry air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
c) Ensure your 4×4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
d) Compatible Radio is a must.
e) Carry all necessary off-road gear / recovery equipment in good working condition.

What would be the exit time for Dunes only?
Hi, my name is Chris 🙂 and this would be first drive with you guys.
Is this a ride where I can bring my kids with me (4yrs old but have been with me to Fossil Rock etc)? And roughly, how long do you estimate the second part will be from leaving cafeteria to the bbq spot?

Looking forward to this! Spend alot of time in Showka either mountain biking or running so will be good fun to finally drive around the area!

Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend the trip, my Jeep’s engine is producing some weird noise, sounds like a hair dryer :(.
