PLEASE READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL AND GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE VARIOUS FUNCTIONS OF THE DEVICE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HOW TO MANUALLY INPUT A FREQUENCY!!
ANYONE WITHOUT A PROPERLY CONFIGURED RADIO, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE DRIVE, FOR SAFETY REASONS!Checklist:-
a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
b) Carry an auto air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
b) Compatible Radio is mandatory
c) Carry all necessary offroad gear, in good condition.
d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).
e) Please ensure that your vehicle’s Fuel Tank is full
f)Make sure that your spare tyre is in workable condition.
g) your vehicle must have front and rear tow points.
Will miss this one as I will be in Oman for the weekend

Good morning, I would like to join this drive if it’s still possible. This would be my first drive with the group- eventhough I have driven off road a lot before. I have all the equipment, but my radio is not in working condition, need to buy a new one. I will buy if possible, buy I guess the shops will open only in the evening. Is it okay for me to join?

Thank you John for leading the Fewbie/Inter convoy, it was a really great drive, a lot of fun and a great group.
Summer does not stop off-road fans as more than 35 cars gathered again for our Friday drive, with a significant number of new comers.
It is always good to see new faces joining DO. 🙂Ahmad prepared the drive very precisely as always and split the newbies into two convoys.
Together with Asim, we joined Joe to sweep the drive with the “first timers”. It was a good drive indeed, despite a late start due to issues programming the walky talkies of some of the new members. It is a good reminder for all who want to join the drives to check the forum and make sure that radios are setup with the right frequencies. Hopefully, Asim had few spare talkies, so everybody could join the drive.
All driver did well for a first time and Joe led the group to few technical areas to give them a glimpse of side sloping. It was good fun. By the end of the day, we reached the exit point safely with only a couple of recoveries. Well done guys. :ymapplause:
