Great intermediate (+) drive yesterday thanks Sahil. Was challenging with the steep soft climbs and crestings. Think it was the right stretch for the team.

Quite an interesting fewbies drive this Friday together with Joe and Sebastien.
After a smooth drive, only stopped once by a pop-out on Munir’s car, we headed to bigger dunes for some fun. That is where Munir’s Pajero broke down due to a cooling hose that blew-up. We had to let the car on the ground and headed back to the tarmac after crossing fossil rock.
We left the convoy safe at the exit point for the members to go back home. Meanwhile, Joe could find some spare hose in a shop nearby.
From there Joe, Sebastien and myself took Munir back to his car, for a fun night drive. It was good team work to fix the car under the light of the moon. As always, Joe is an expert in fixing everything and Sebastien carried enough water to fill-up the empty radiator. Well done folks. :ymparty:
We drove back out of the desert slightly before 10pm. A drive we will all remember I am sure.

i had lots of fun with you guys, and thank you all for the fantastic driving, discipline and cooperation.
thank you for the great teamwork and support, in particular Sebastien and Benoit aka (akawel) who were there all the time to assist in keeping everyone safe and on track and insisted on staying back late until we sorted the broken down pajero. thats what DO is all about…
hope Munir managed to drive back his Paj all the way to fujaira safely, looking forward to seeing him back among us soon.

It was great driving with the Intermediate members, all showed excellent skills and are very capable drivers at their level, we pretty much gunned it from 2nd December at 4:15pm over to the other side of Big Red, passed through pretty much all the high points from Badayer towards Iftaar Bowl, and exited from the farms before sunset!
It was a pleasure to drive with you all!!
