    Drive Type: All-level with 2/3 separate convoys depending in total number of registrations and Marshal availability
    Meeting Point: Old ADNOC petrol station in Al Shuwaib

    Duration: 3-4 hours
    Drive Route: Al Shuwaib dunes along Omani border area and exit towards Al Faqa’a
    Drive Terrain: Small, medium, and high technical dunes

    Join us for a sunny and sandy Friday afternoon as we tackle the big dunes of Al Shuwaib and meander our way along the Omani border area towards Al Faqa’a. Prep your car, charge your batteries, and see you there \M/

    *** A FULL TANK OF FUEL IS A MUST!

    *** PLEASE READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL AND GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE VARIOUS FUNCTIONS OF THE DEVICE AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HOW TO MANUALLY INPUT A FREQUENCY!!
    *** ANYONE WITHOUT A PROPERLY CONFIGURED RADIO, WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE DRIVE, FOR SAFETY REASONS!

    Checklist:-
    a) Ensure your 4 x 4 vehicle is in perfect condition and with enough fuel.
    b) Carry an auto air compressor with you and ensure it’s in working condition.
    b) Compatible Radio is mandatory
    c) Carry all necessary offroad gears, in good condition.
    d) Carry enough water / refreshments / re-hydration drinks for self & co-passenger(s).
    e) Please ensure that your vehicle’s Fuel Tank is full
    f) Make sure that your spare tyre is in workable condition.
    g) your vehicle must have front and rear tow points.
    h) Keep your emergency contact info at vehicle dashboard

    I have a lot of certificates from the GPS challenge. If you participated in the GPS challenge but did not receive your cert please see me at the drive.

    I will also have DO shirts, hats, and flags with me for anyone interested.

    Hi Matt, regret to having missed this one, started and on way realized didn’t take the radio and turned back – had put that for charging after the morning drive. Off for 3 weeks and will join after mid June.

    Many thanks for this drive and the marshals in the inter/advanced convoy. I think that was best drive I have ever done!

    Thanks to DO marshals for all the organization yesterday, my first Inter/advance drive and it was awesome to say the least. Great combination of big dunes and technical trails, I learned a lot along the way and had a blast!

    Hey Matt, I just joined the forum so I wasn’t informed about the event and that’s okay.
    I’ll be leaving to Singapore this coming June and I’ll be in Tokyo this July. But I’ll keep in touch to see
    if there’s a drive that I can join. Thanks anyway.
