This is the story of Desert Stallions Rally Team, based in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
Desert Stallions Rally Team has been involved in the Desert with many offroad clubs like DDC, AD4x4and MEO almost for one year – marshalling, searching, rescuing and some of the driving skills were a few of the tasks learned from clubs before entering into our first rally EMSF RAK 4WD Rally Jan 2009.
I am not a millionaire, and as with all motor sports, we quickly discovered that sponsorship was the only way to be able to finance the team in order to achieve the goals we set ourselves – to compete in the international arena and show what a dedicated group of privateers can achieve when taking on the works teams.
Why Desert Stallions Team?
In trying to come up with a team name, we were looking for something that would be indicative of the area that we live in. After discarding ‘the falcon’ and ‘the camel’, we came across the tag line “Desert Stallions – breed for speed, power and endurance in the desert”, and the team is born.Meet the Team
