A friend of mine is looking for a 4×4 for offroading. Asked me how good or bad is Armada in the desert…?

To tell you the truth, I haven’t seen many Armadas in the desert… neither do we have any members in our club who drive an Armada…

Just wanted your advise and guidance whether he should seriously look to buy an Armada…

What does the ‘panchayat’ have to say…? Is the Armada as good as LC in the desert?

Power to weight ratio is the key,
I am sure you would have noticed the small Suzukis in Malieha.

I personally would think that Armada should be a good ride in the desert,
with a few mods on Suspension & forward/ rear clearance.

Armada should be as good as a Yukon or Tahoe, provided ground clearence and suspension is taken care of.

before buying the land cruiser my other option was the nissan armada….but the sales person in nissan told me that armada is a luxury on road vehicle and not meant as an offroad vehicle….if you want for offroad then go for the nissan patrol….

Junaid bhai: You forgot to metion second half of truth that condition of that Armada after 13 days was all shattered and everything looks beaten to death.

Armada may be as good as Junaid bhai has tested, but not very durable as all armada is made in US and hence share the same build quality as gmc, ford and chevy cars.

Is that Armada’s fault? or is it Junaid??? :-\ :-\ :-\

That is true, these are made in USA…
in fact, the one that I had driven had the gear lever on the steering stalk…I did not like it one bit…
If you guys remember the Ambassadors & the Premier Padminis, I actually learnt driving using the gear lever on the steering stalk!!!
