Good thing is both of them are Okay.
We all have to understand the fact that Off-roading is an adventure sport & remember that the associated risks are all there,
even if they are sometimes not so apparent.Get well soon Guys ๐ ๐ ๐
Thnx guys for all your prayers and support. We’re doing much better and recovering fast. Bed rest is the only solution here… ๐
I’ll write down as to wht happen in detail later on…P.S : Humzy, I think you should start leading morning or evening drives for a while. You lead the last one superb … ๐
Hi all, the news of the accident must be stale by now ๐
I m back on my feet and i want to thank all of you who called and even said a prayer for us. Our story is definitely nothing short of a miracle.
In Sweihan, Roshan having missed a track slipped off it in full speed and we flew off 20 ft into the ground. The car fell flat on its tyres and the fall caused major trauma on our spines. The air bags saved us from any injuries. I was in immense pain and had to be airlifted to the nearest hospital after 2 hours of lying flat on the desert sand. Roshan, then seemed to be ok and was really shaken by the whole drama.Anyways, as i was still conscious i could hear everyword the doctors muttered and after AED 12,000 worth of tests and XRays, they told me that they were suspicious about my left side of the body being partially paralyzed and 3 fractures on my neck and a compressed disc fracture on my lower spine. That was enough to make me sleep for some time !!! They however wanted to be dead sure and got an appointment for an MRI scan the next afternoon. I was admitted in the surgery ward for the night and took the MRI next afternoon. BY 4 pm the docs came in excited and said i was absolutely fine with no fractures and no compressed discs and my left part of the body by then regained enough strength to prove i was fit. This was amazing initself and i left for home the same night. I just resumed work today after more than 2 weeks and am grateful that i am fine and can walk again. I do have constant back aches and some trauma on the legs, but that will go with enough rest.
I do believe that at some point during the night and the MRI Scan an angel of God must have healed me, otherwise this whole situation is unexplainable.
Off-roading is off limits for sometime, but i hope to be back when im 100% fit for it.
Thanks and Regards
June 9, 2009 at 10:33 am #11408It’s good to know that both of you are doing well.
Take complete precautions, physio-therapeutic exercises as well as lots of rest, as recommended by the Doc/s.
We look forward to welcoming you on one of the drives soon…quote dphil:Hi all, the news of the accident must be stale by now ๐I m back on my feet and i want to thank all of you who called and even said a prayer for us. Our story is definitely nothing short of a miracle.
